This original postcard is from the 1939 New York World's Fair which was held in New York City, New York. It is in excellent condition. The front features "Theme Center - The Trylon and Perisphere". The reverse features a postcard format, which is unused but is written on and there is a paragraph that says "The most absolutely unique buildings at the Fair are the Trylon and Perisphere, the Theme Center. The Perisphere is a 200 ft. ball, the largest ever created by mankind. Inside the sphere the visitor will view from a revolving platform suspended in mid-air, a dramatization of the World of Tomorrow. The 700-foot triangular Trylon at the left will serve as a beacon for the Fair". This postcard measures approx. 3 1/2" x 5 1/2".
